In the coming days, YouTube Shorts will be able to improve video quality with the help of Maker Veo 3 and take advantage of audio integration. The Veo 3 model was unveiled at the recently held Google I/O 2025.

YouTube Shorts launched for Veo 3

YouTube CEO Neil Mohan spoke about the update to the Veo 3 during the 2025 Cannes Lions Festival Creativity held in February. Apart from this, he said that YouTube Shorts now gets about 200 billion daily views.

During the event, he told how AI tools are being used, with the help of which auto dubbing is being done. About 20 million videos have already been translated into 9 languages.

Canva has already adopted the Veo 3, after which it said that its usage has increased. However,
YouTube has used the upgraded Veo 3. YouTube has partnered with CAA and top creators to protect likeness rights.

YouTube Shorts was launched in 2021

YouTube launched Shorts in 2021. It competes with TikTok and Instagram Reels, although TikTok is banned in India. It now gets nearly 200 billion views daily. Veo 3 integration into YouTube Shorts will begin later this summer.
