A Nigerian woman recently shared her embarrassing experience of getting her eyelash extensions on social media, and all we can say is getting yourself beautiful is really painful, but this is on a whole other level.
In the viral video, she explained how a simple trip to the salon for some fake eyelashes turned into a full-blown medical emergency. At first, everything seemed fine after her eyelashes were applied, she looked fabulous, and she was ready to slay. But things took a turn for the worse in no time.
She noticed that her cheeks and eyebrows were swollen, but she ignored it thinking it was a minor issue. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t! The swelling grew and soon the pain set in, turning her beauty routine into a horror movie.
Frightened, she rushed to the lash technician, who, realizing the damage, rushed her to the hospital. The nurse reassured her that it was just an allergy. But the doctor? Oh, the doctor had a very different story to tell.
Apparently, the carpenter had just finished cutting the board and decided to use super glue! Yes, you read that right. Instead of using proper lash glue, this “beauty expert” went the whole DIY route and actually superglued her client’s eyelashes.
When she questions her, the beauty expert admits that she made the mistake in a fit of panic, perhaps realizing that she’s made the biggest mistake ever.
The woman, though thankful that she got medical help in time, learned a painful lesson – always check what’s going on with your face, and if possible, go to trusted professionals who don’t give a shit about glue and hardware.
The moral of the story? Not all salons are the same, and super glue should be kept away from your face!
